SFPFS Traveling Table: New Delhi Restaurant

The SFPFS Traveling Table took a sensuous culinary tour of India at San Francisco's recently restored New Delhi Restaurant with Ranjan Dey, star of the upcoming PBS series, My India. Our private screening of Dey's new television series took Traveling Table participants to Cochin, Mumbai (formerly Bombay) and Goa, where Dey prepares the classic Indian dish, Chicken Cafreal.

We tasted Chicken Cafreal and an exotic spread of other authentic Indian dishes in New Delhi's unique sensory environment -with sitars, dancing, and henna tatoos for the more adventurous! Finally, we ended our dining chair travels to India with a tour of Ranjan Dey's kitchen at the New Delhi.
