Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of SFPFS
by Amy Sherman

The 30th Anniversary of the San Francisco Professional Food Society was celebrated in style on July 19th, 2008. The annual picnic was upgraded to an evening affair, a "Sunset Spectacular" hosted by the wine country chic Artesa Vineyards & Winery, set amongst the rolling hills and vineyards in the Carneros region of Napa. Live music, sparkling fountains, paintings and sculpture all created a stimulating setting.

Joyce Jue, Kimball Jones, and Joey Altman

Over 100 members and their guests took part in the record breaking silent auction, hobnobbed with celebrity chefs, enjoyed local wines, a lavish cheese buffet, fabulous dinner and exquisite desserts. Guests were able to spend the evening "al fresco" on the patio and in the winery, enjoying the natural surroundings and the fine contemporary art of renowned artist in residence, Gordon Huether.

Artesia Wine

Kudos goes to John Linderman and his tireless committee, for their hard work. Special thanks go to the following sponsors and donors:
