SFPFS Traveling Table: An Intimate Summer Supper in Berkeley Monday, June 23, 2008 6:30 pm Digs Bistro 1453 Dwight Way at Sacramento Berkeley, California 94702 www.digsbistro.com $40 SFPFS Members and Guests Register online for no fee at: http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=161236 or mail in this completed form Early summer is an ideal time for farmers–market-inspired meals in the Bay Area. Travel to Berkeley, where the weather may not be warm but the food is always delicious, to enjoy a four-course, seasonally inspired New American meal at Digs Bistro. Behind the stoves at Digs Bistro are Heidi DiPippo, formerly of Yankee Pier and Lark Creek Inn, both in Larkspur and Justin Sconce, former sous chef at Berkeley’s Rivoli. Jesse Kupers serves as manager. The team formerly ran Digs as an underground restaurant in Oakland; in October 2007, they took up formal residence in the cozy, intimate Berkeley space that once housed Olivia and A La Carte. They now prepare house-made charcuterie, preserves from local produce and a delectable menu of inspired dishes in a relaxed but professional neighborhood spot. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy a tasty summer meal with fellow SFPFS members and guests before summer arrives. * $40 per person covers meal, tax and gratuity * Vegetarian options available * Beverages purchased individually; please bring cash to facilitate bill-paying * $18 corkage fee; wine, beer and other beverages available Four-Course Dinner Charcuterie platter Chicken liver mousse, duck ham, bacon and accoutrements
